The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Warriors Table

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a wide array of personalities, and a gripping narrative showcasing divine entities, demons, and malevolent powers increasing in power within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Spoilers for Episode 3 of this adventure follow below.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled

Episode 3 ended with a major cliffhanger and revealed the first table of adventurers who will split off from the central cast to undertake their separate journey, distinct from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor (portrayed by Travis), the agile character (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).

The Reason for Division

With an extensive roster, it was evident from the beginning that keeping everyone at a single group would be unworkable.

That’s why, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, connecting the personal journeys before dividing into three smaller tables: Fighters, Planners, and Questers.

The Nature of the Soldiers Table

As described by the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for participants who prefer a typically action-packed fight-heavy narrative style where peaceful solutions are scarce.

Initially, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander might seem unsuited, but the events of the third episode demonstrate why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Motivations for Departure

First, the team understands precisely where to head next after a violent opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose passing kicked off the campaign’s events—used The Crow Keepers for his own means, breaking into the hidden lair, striking the rogue, and swiping all the powerful objects to dispose of.

Casimir then cleared his liabilities and escaped to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, above Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each member has a personal reason to exit the urban setting:

  • The rogue, as the companion and best friend, seeks vengeance.
  • The adventurer knows Timmony and advises that it is a hostile place.
  • The warrior and The healer, having defied his house’s orders to eliminate the fighter and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
  • Yet, their reputation as key figures in the powerful family could enable the group reach places they normally couldn’t.
  • Moreover, Teor vowed a eternal obligation to The cleric for his deliverance and will now follow him wherever.

Fugitives

Finally, all of them are hunted by the powers that rule Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The warrior and The cleric betrayed the influential house and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
  • The fighter is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This results in them no alternative but to head to the remote area in search of the traitor.

What’s Next?

From episode three’s post-show segment, we find out that the combat party won’t be around the following episode, leaving the remaining eight cast members to form the Explorers and Planners groups.

Fans can anticipate finding out which players will be in which group in Campaign 4’s concluding setup installment, released on next week.
